Halloween comes in threes
Halloween is the perfect time and excuse to lose one’s inhibitions.
Halloween is about children and adults alike in fancy costumes with bizarre makeup complete with noses and red horns that glow in the dark.
This time-honored American holiday took on some local color at the Cebu Country Club, which for years has hosted spooky Halloween parties.
The highlight of the evening was the parade of costumes. Kiyofumi Takahashi, who came as Scary Scarecrow, and Stephanie Cabahug as Sadako, won the Most Halloween Inspired and Most Original costume. Tamsin and Mari Kris Booth as Plants Vs. Zombies and Anthony and Moya Jackson as Little Red Riding Hood won the Most Halloween Inspired and the Most Original Couples awards. Count Dracula and his Brides led by Cely Chiongbian won as the Most Halloween Group while RamonSebastian and company as Black Angels were judged he Most Original Group.

Another Halloween party was held at Level Eight, the popular music and dance lounge owned by Ding and Carmen Borja, and managed by veteran event organizer Tico Aldanese.
The evening started with Archie Marcial and the Centerfold Band. In between, Cebu’s very own Eva delos Santos belted a few love songs. She was joined by her talented daughter Monique.
Prizes for the best in costume individual category went to Rodney Agustin as Captain Jack Sparrow; Bjorn and Ging Calatrava as the Arabians bagged the Finest Couple award; while the Zombies, led by Letlet dela Merced, were judged the Top Halloween Group.

At the private abode of Bingen and Annette Mendezona, 12 couples got together for a fun evening. In keeping with tradition, invitees came dressed in their favorite costumes. There were glamorous witches, half-wrapped mummies, red devils, Frankenstein, black fairies, the zombies and Count Dracula.
