From Bastille Day to Infinity

July ends on a fashionable note with a grand celebration of the French National Day at the Sofitel Hotel.  It was a festive evening hosted by dashing Ambassador Thierry Borja de Mozata to celebrate  art, music and fashion with talented Olivia D’Aboville, Delfin deLorme,  songstress Tricia Garcia and the Jewelmer Jazz band. Our Philippine designers came in full force when they represented the best of Fil-Franco friendship: Ferdie Abuel, Regine Dulay, Jerome Lorico, Sassa Jimenez, fashion queen Lulu Tan Gan and multi-talented beauty Solenn Heussaf who not only sang lustily but presented her own knit designs.

My friends at Tatler Magazine featured their Glamour Issue with an exhibit  of  their chosen 13 most beautiful and alluring Filipinas by renowned international photographer, Nigel Barker.  I am sure they had a difficult time paring this list  down as we are known to be a country of not only lovely but intelligent females who stand out in any part of the globe.  Beauty and brains certainly go hand in hand when we talk about our women.  The Greenbelt 5 Fashion Walk was filled with large sized photos of the eye-catching young beauties — Carla Abellana, Isabelle Diaz, Heart Evangelista, Pops Fernandez, Georgina Wilson, Celine Lopez, Roseanne Prieto, Bianca A. Elizalde, Stephanie Zubiri, Audrey Puckett-Chiu, Valerie Weigmann, Bianca Zobel and Rocio Olbes.

Smart Infinity’s super-efficient Julie Carceller had a great treat for their well-loved subscribers with a “Wellness Day” at The Farm in Lipa, Batangas.  One will surely enjoy de-stressing in this serene place where time  stands still at the foothills of Mount Malarayat. With over 140 employees for only 60 guests, you surely will be pampered in this highly rated spa that has won international awards year after year.   It certainly shows that we are world class and making our mark in the tourism market that specializes in relaxation as well as the restoration of mind and body.
