CCA, Manila trains young chef-preneurs this summer

-

MANILA, Philippines - The Center for Culinary Arts (CCA, Manila), the leader in producing the country’s finest chefs, offers a one-of-a-kind summer program that aims to mold children to become future chef-preneurs.

CCA, Manila hopes that by introducing the young to the fascinating and diverse field of culinary arts this early, they will learn for themselves how cooking can become an exciting and rewarding career or business someday.

The Young Chefs’ Boot Camp (YCBC) is a certificate program especially designed for kids, aged 10 to 16 years old. It was developed by CCA, Manila’s team of experts to equip young ones with the basics in the kitchen as well as to enhance their culinary and baking skills. It will also help them discover their inner chefs while gaining new life experiences and friends in the process.

Ongoing until May, there will be five-day courses under the YCBC program.

For children aged seven to 10 years old, there is the Young Upstarts Course with daily themes like Lunchbox Goodies, the Wild Wild West, Sweet Tooth, Little Asia, and Little Italy.

Kids aged 10 to 16 years old can enroll in Western Flavors (Sandwich Bar, All-Day Breakfast, Pasta Perfect, Pizza Parlor, and American Diner); Asian Flavors (Appetizers and Teasers, Hearty Asian Soups, Asian Noodles, Rice Dishes, and Filipino Desserts and Snacks); Baking and Pastry 101 (Quickbreads — muffins and scones; The Cookie Jar — cookies and bars; One, Two, Three, Flour! — filled pandesal, cinnamon rolls, sticky buns, pizza; Cupcakes and Mini Cakes; Pastries and Cold Desserts) and Advance Cooking & Baking (Sandwich Bar Express; Pasta!
