Lucky mom gets a shopping splurge from Häagen Dazs
MANILA, Philippines - When 46-year-old housewife Elenita Romero found out she was the grand winner of Häagen Dazs’ Summer Style Promo, she couldn’t believe it.
“It took several phone calls from them for me to realize that it was all very real!” she confesses. “But eventually, it sank in and for days, I couldn’t sleep because I was thinking about all the things I was going to get! It was my first time to actually win in a raffle, so I was so excited.”
The Häagen Dazs Summer Style Promo gave participants the chance to win fabulous designer items (including bags, swimwear, gadgets and shoes) of their choice. Customers earned raffle tickets by purchasing P780 worth of Häagen Dazs’ Strawberry Summer Creations or any other strawberry-flavored product.
For the Swimwear category, she chose a trendy coverup from upscale Australian brand Seafolly and a pair of Kenneth Cole shoes for the Shoes category. She was able to get a brand-new Macbook Pro for her kids and snagged a Louis Vuitton bag for her sister.
“We at Häagen Dazs saw this as a great opportunity to encourage our customers to put up that ‘do-not-disturb’ sign, savor a blissfully intimate experience with our luscious strawberry ice cream, and indulge even more via one well-loved female activity — shopping! This was the inspiration behind the Summer Style promo,” explains Häagen Dazs’ Wilbert Galapon.
