Livin' la dolce Vinita
Vinita — the latest dream in lingerie and must-have swimwear fashion brand to reach our shores this summer — was recently launched during a unique Buyers Fashion Show at Cebu’s upscale (and everyone’s favorite) deli cum resto, Tinderbox.
Definitely a head turner was Aziza Mondoñedo, herself a style setter and incidentally the exclusive distributor of Vinita in Cebu, who played the gracious hostess in an intimate gathering that had the island’s women of substance in attendance.
Italian designer Fabiola Marin, a graduate of the Instituto Marangani Fashion and Design School in Milan and a member of the world-renowned Intimissi Group, created the exclusive designs specifically and especially for the Filipino woman.
While the collection is contemporary, it is akin to both classical and modern styles, going beyond the usual imprints to achieve a balance between elegance and simplicity.
The evening’s presentation spotlighted several statuesque models from the Models Association of Cebu who gracefully sashayed down the short runway wearing sultry teddies, camisoles, baby dolls and eye-catching swimsuits accented by fabulous accessories that included dazzling necklaces and earrings, brooches, and bracelets all done by the talented Dianne Espera.
The fashion fiesta of lingerie and swimsuits was made from desirable fabrics of opaque knits, intricate laces and select tulle in incredible shades of indigo, cobalt lavender, tone-on-tone colors with hues of pink, red, and burgundy, all artistically tailored in a variety of cuts and shapes, subtle lines, and styles.
The launch party was attended by Cebu’s beautiful working social set championing several charitable causes such as Rosebud Sala, Teresin Mendezona, Marguerite Lhuillier, Mayen Tan, Iris Arcenas, Lani Osmeña, Karen Woolbright, Bea Villegas, Elvira Luym, Marissa Fernan, Grace Lozada, and Agnes Huettel.
The on-the-go youthful team of Kaye Luym and Cybil Gayatin of A-List Events PR and advertising was everywhere at once to ensure that the evening was entertaining and enjoyable.
Vinita’s fine line of lingerie and swimwear will surely indulge the sensuality and sexuality of today’s woman.
