How sweet it is

MANILA, Philippines - At this year’s recently held annual Coffee Break Festival, Equal, the global brand of low-calorie sweetener, helped the mall-going public at Ayala Center’s Greenbelt 3 and 5 understand latte art a little better.

The two-week-long festival featured latte art demonstrations sponsored by Equal. Barista cup champion from Rancillo Machines led by Wency Dalanon displayed coffee-making savvy and latte art skills. Guests were also given a free demonstration of the step-by-step process in making latte art. Among the local coffee merchants who participated in the festival were Gourmet’s Coffee, Cordillera Coffee, Rancillo Machines, and Nescafe.

 This year’s festival entitled “Coffee Origins: Discovering the Philippines’ Best,” was aimed at encouraging enjoyment of local coffee from different parts of the country.
