All brides dream of a perfect wedding, but sadly enough, only a few really know how to bring it to life.
Recently, Waterfront Cebu City Hotel presented "Weddings at the Waterfront," an excellently organized, highly informative and well-attended three-day bridal fair that featured everything the bride and even the groom, lets not forget him needs to know in the run-up to the most important day of their lives.
Cebu Citys well-liked vice mayor, the debonair Michael Rama, together with one of the countrys most beautiful brides ever Lucy Torres Gomez and hubby Richard Gomez, still a heartthrob after all these years, were guests of honor.
At the grand ballroom, various wedding suppliers were available for consultations. They discussed their services and exhibited their wares from invitations to keepsakes, from cakes to flowers, and lots, lots more.
The foyer, meanwhile, had a never-been-done-before display of dream-like wedding gowns of Cebus once-upon-a-time radiant brides.
The bridal symposia, an integral component of the fair, included speakers, such as Fr. Rod Salazar, who expounded on the sanctity of marriage, while Waterfronts food and beverage director Marco Protacio talked on the dos and donts of wedding etiquette.
Manila-based most sought-after floral designer Antonio Garcia of Mabolo presented the latest on theme weddings and floral trends. Fashion designer Randy Ortiz touched on the bridal wear forecast for the season, while Christine Duque of Clarins answered queries on how to look your very best on this special occasion.
Cid Limgenco and Carmen Yap of Philippine Airlines focused on the different honeymoon destinations, while tour specialist Marisol Barria of Baron Travel dwelt on tour packages that guarantee a most unforgettable hassle-free honeymoon.
The highlight of the affair was a bridal fashion show aptly dubbed "Sposabella" that showcased Cebus top fashion designers led by Ditas Rodriguez, Jojo Romoff, Felix Yu, Arcy Gayatin, Minnie Yuvienco, Oj Hofer, Jun Escario, Jude Elardo, Philip Rodriguez and Protacio Empaces. Manila couturiers who flew in their collections included Rajo Laurel, Carla Sibal, Rhett Eala and Randy Ortiz.
Overall concept, direction and choreography was executed by Jackie Aquino.
