Diptyque is better than roses

To some people, receiving a bouquet of flowers can be very underwhelming. Sure, it’s sweet — according to romantic comedies. But it kind of also says, “I realized I didn’t know you well enough to get you anything that references our time together or your interests.” It says, “I didn’t have the time to buy that thing you wanted, so I hope this bouquet of roses, which makes me feel better, makes up for that.” Of course, not all relationships are created equal and there are some who love flowers and would be happy to receive them, but there are other things that make for way better gifts.
