Snow and tell Pandora’s latest collection tells tales of the holidays
I’ve never had a “White Christmas.” To me it’s always been Golden, the color of all things deep-fried, crispy, or egg-enriched, and the sun beating down on our houses as we pretend to be in a wintry log cabin with scented candles and faux table antlers. Our trees — not real pine — are adorned with ornaments that echo this fantasy. No one decorates with minature bibingka or keychain-sized lechon. Instead we have reindeer, snowflakes, icicles, Santa Claus, Miley on a (Christmas) wrecking ball — ornaments handed down from generation to generation that are as much a part of our holiday memories as the people we love.
Pandora’s winter collection indulges us in our Christmas fantasies with a new selection of charms inspired by the beauty of a landscape touched by frost. It is in Pandora’s DNA to tell a story, and at the launch, we walked right into one. The room was transformed into a winter wonderland — snow that looked and felt real was the backdrop for Pandora’s hand-finished charms.
Delicate Sentiments is a series that features classic silver bows, pearls, cutout hearts, faceted colored crystals and cubic zirconia stones. The Crystallized Snowflake series from the winter collection features snowflake motif charms encrusted with ice-blue crystals and translucent cubic zirconia stones. Yuletide designs like reindeer, mistletoe and presents are all part of the Classic Christmas collection — just like ones you’ve always had on your tree, only much nicer.
The highlight of the evening was a surprise for guests: a special gift secretly picked out by our loved ones, complete with handwritten letters — a version of Secret Santa that made every girl boss at the event cry.
