Feel great, do good with The Body Shop’s Oils of Life
MANILA, Philippines - The Body Shop searched the world and selected three precious seed oils known for their revitalizing and repairing properties to make Oils for Life, a range of face oils that give the skin and spirit a much needed boost.
Black Cumin Seed Oil, known for its concentration in antioxidants from the Egyptian Nile Valley; Camellia Seed Oil, naturally rich in oleic acid from the evergreen trees of China; and Rosehip Seed Oil, rich in omega 3 and 6 from the Andes foothills of Chile, make up the products in The Body Shop’s Oils of Life range.
The first step in the Oils for Life routine is the Intensely Revitalizing Essence Lotion, a unique oil-plus-water formula that activates the skin for the next steps. Second is the Intensely Revitalizing Facial Oil, a powerful blend of essential oils that revitalize skin, replenish moisture and revive radiance. Signs of aging are reduced and skin feels more elastic and firmer. Third is the Intensely Revitalizing Cream, a silky cream with micropearls that melt onto the face. In four weeks, skin looks smoother and feels more supple.
The Body Shop is dedicated to helping protect the earth’s varied biodiversity and helping preserve and enrich life on our planet. When you choose Oils of Life skincare, you help plant seeds and make a positive difference. In partnership with World Land Trust, The Body Shop aims to plant one million seeds of native tree species in degraded areas within seasonal dry forests in the Cerro Blanco Protected Forest. The planting will be followed by monitoring and maintenance actions to promote regeneration of the forest cover.
The project will take place over a two-year period starting in August 2015. Seeds will be collected for storage and preserved for planting, and later in the year, the plantation site will be prepared for sowing.
The first sowing will take place in the early 2016 to coincide with the rains. During April to June, seeds will be cleaned and weeds removed from the first season’s germinated seedlings. Then through July to December, a further collection of seeds will take place.
