The kids are alright

MANILA, Philippines - When #OOTD photos (Outfit of the Day, for the uninformed) of six-year-old Alonso Mateo went viral on Instagram around two years ago, I knew the fashion game was going to change — big time. The spotlight suddenly shifted to these trendy tots who became the Internet’s obsession overnight. Other child-style icons include Alexander Wang’s niece Alia (who is a New York Fashion Week favorite), Karl Lagerfeld’s youngest muse three-year-old Hudson Kroenig, KimYe’s spawn North West (who went to her first Paris Fashion Week at age one), just to name a few.

While some of these kids may or may not have been the one to personally pick their own clothes (yet), I think it’s safe to say that there’s nothing wrong with starting them young.
