Ensembles bares winning dresses

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Ensembles presents the eight winning designers in the Wear My Design Contest for Spring 2014.

They are Marielle Lacar with her Carleena, a constructed dress inspired by the modern and confident Filipina; Clarice Joyce Tan with her Shadows which she fondly describes as inspired by ninjas, strong yet elegant; Richard Enriquez with his Black & White creation, a simple yet strong piece with a woman’s essence on it; Michelle Marie Sacramento with her Curve,  which emphasizes the body’s natural curves and instills confidence; Jacinta Theresita Bravo whose fusion of classic cuts, modern folds, and unusual colors is fittingly called Unorthodox Sophistication; Danjamel Bobis with Mel, a simple, crisp, and elegant dress that can be worn any time of the day; Merie Sheryl Clarete with Bloom, which is all about a lady’s blooming independence; and Bernard Escalona with Sunday Dress in a soft color palette capturing the ease of a Sunday afternoon.

Ensembles started this contest in 2012, inviting everyone, amateurs and professionals alike. For the second year in a row, Ensembles received almost 100 dress prototypes from all over the country.

These winning creations are now part of Ensembles’ spring 2014 collection, which is now available in stores.
