Kate Spade New York introduces first iconic bag

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Kate Spade New York introduces the brand’s first signature handbag, the 2 Park Avenue Beau Bag. Kate Spade New York gave this one a special name, “Beau,” with a clever double entendre: 1) Kate Spade New York’s dashing new signature handbag, adorned with a well-placed bow, 2) A lady’s sweetheart or boyfriend.

Available locally in a variety of colors and is sold starting at P25,450, the Beau cleverly combines two of Kate Spade New York’s favorite things: a sleek, utilitarian shape; and well-placed bow not in one, but two places — the front pocket, and the zipper pull. Featuring a smart interior that includes a special pouch for your tablet, a zip pocket for valuables and two side pockets.

Deborah Lloyd, president and chief creative officer of Kate Spade New York, says: “When I was living in Paris in the early ‘90s, I bought a handbag from a very fancy vintage boutique. It was navy blue, and I loved it: One of a kind, amazing quality. It sparked my forever-passion for the perfect bag. This fall, we introduce the 2 Park Avenue Beau — a handbag so ideal and exquisite, it’s eclipsed that vintage one as my favorite bag ever. I think every woman needs a Beau in her life. I’ll be getting one in every color.”

In the Philippines, Kate Spade is exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists, Inc. (SSI) and is located at Power Plant Mall, Greenbelt 3, Rustan’s Makati, and Shangri-La Plaza Mall.
