Korea’s sweetheart is The Face Shop’s new endorser

MANILA, Philippines - In its 10th anniversary, The Face Shop deviates from its male endorser streak and introduces Suzy as its new brand ambassador. Known as the “nation’s sweetheart,” 19-year-old Suzy is South Korea’s hottest female celebrity. She debuted in 2010 as a member of girl group Miss A. The group popularized the mega hit Bad Girl, Good Girl and conquered charts with their smooth vocals and slick dance moves. Suzy then ventured into acting, starring in the movie Architecture 101 and dramas Dream High, Big, and this year’s highly successful historical drama  Gu Family Book.

 Her acting projects have earned her a string of awards, catapulting her to superstardom. This year, Suzy’s star shines even brighter as she now endorses over 20 brands ranging from cosmetics, electronics, games, banks, pizza, clothes, jewelry, and more.

“Selecting a brand ambassador is not an easy task,” said Kyung Rhee, vice president of The Face Shop headquarters. “After countless meetings and reviews, we have decided that only Suzy can be The Face Shop’s new representative.”

Suzy reflects the healthy and natural image of the brand and stands at the forefront of the Korean Wave, attracting global fans as well.

Suzy’s clear and fair skin is perfect for the brand’s nature-based skincare lines.

“At the same time, she transforms into different personalities the moment she puts on makeup,” she added.

Suzy begins with promotions for “Chia Seed,” the brand’s signature skincare line. Suzy is now causing a sensation with her use of Face It Aura CC Cream.

In the Philippines, The Face Shop enjoys prestige and a huge following as the first Korean beauty brand to make its mark locally. Established in 2006 by retail giant Suyen Corporation, The Face Shop Philippines has 44 branches nationwide.
