Beauty Box: MAC collaborates with illustrator Antonio Lopez
MANILA, Philippines - Known for collaborating with influential artists, MAC collaborates with fashion visionary Antonio Lopez now whose provocative illustrations captured the fascination of Karl Lagerfeld and Yves Saint Laurent, and launched the careers of iconic models Jerry Hall, Marisa Berenson, Pat Cleveland and more. In the ‘60s he freelanced for fashion magazines like Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle and Andy Warhol’s Interview. He is known for creating Vanity magazine with Anna Piaggi and reviving interest in art and fashion, resulting in designers like Armani, Fendi and Lagerfeld incorporating art into their collections. In 1987, Lopez died from complications due to AIDS at 44 years old. MAC collaborates with the artist in a stunning new makeup collection, available at Rustan’s.
