Desigual invades Manila with bold prints and eye-popping colors

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines -Stores Specialists Inc.’s newest clothing brand, Desigual, brings its fun, spunk and youthful energy to Manila.

Originally from Barcelona, Spain, Desigual was born with a brand slogan: “It’s Not The Same.” Its “neon” concept, which offers dark settings with touches of blue lights, highlights the garments to create alternative worlds. This unique concept of Desigual makes shopping a real pleasure.

Hosted by MYX VJ Julz Savard, the launch of Desigual in Club Haze was an explosion of colors as guests came wearing their trendiest clothes in bright hues and striking patterns. They also enjoyed playful cocktails such as Galactic Fun, Sexy Kisses, and Summer Love, as well as free-flowing drinks from Absolut Vodka. Models strutted down the catwalk to upbeat dance music by DJ Katsy Lee.

Michael Huang of the Rustan Group of Companies, together with Desigual’s marketing manager for Asia Pacific Josie Kam, welcomed the evening’s guest of honor, Spanish Ambassador Jorge Domecq, his lovely wife Rosa, and daughter Clara.

Desigual’s new store in Manila is an addition to its increasing global store count — with more than 350 stores in over 100 countries including The Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Portugal, Egypt, Russia, US, Rome, China, Singapore, and Austria.

In the Philippines, Desigual is exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists Inc. (SSI) and is located at Shangri-la Plaza Mall and Bonifacio High Street Central.
