Redheads have more fun
MANILA, Philippines - SM Department Store’s Girls Teens Wear Department launches its Redhead Model Search for 2012.
Girls can join through in-store applications or online submissions of entries through www.sm-gtw.com. They can join in the fun by going to one of the Redhead mall tours on Sept. 1 at SM Mall of Asia, and on Sept. 8 at SM Cubao and SM Southmall. Mall tour participants will enjoy a free Maybelline makeover plus free giveaways.
Three lucky Redhead Girls will win a professional contract and cash prizes. As a Redhead Girl, one can wear cool stuff from the SM Girls Teens Wear Department and get a chance to be a model. Last year’s winners Emerald, Avon, and Arielle share with readers what’s it like to be a Redhead Girl.
Here are last year’s brand ambassadors.
Nineteen-year-old Emerald explains, “My Redhead experience was awesome. It was a fun experience because I met new friends, became more confident, and learned a lot about modeling. The search gave me billboard and magazine exposures! It’s really something worthwhile and I’m sure girls will love not just the clothes but everything about Redhead.”
“The Redhead Search gave me so much fun and many unforgettable experiences,” shares Avon, a 17-year-old student. “I got to work with international photographer Doc Marlon who taught me how to apply makeup the right way as well as important runway tips. Girls should never give up in the world of modeling. We all have our insecurities but we must keep doing what we love to do and try to give it our best.”
Arielle, a 16-year-old student, exclaims, “With Redhead, I felt like I was a supermodel! It’s nice to see yourself in billboards and catalogues. During the search, I met and encountered some of the most respected people in the modeling industry. Doc Marlon taught me how to project in front of the camera, while Bianca Valerio showed me how to strut on the runway like a real supermodel. And Alyssa Martinez gave me useful fab tips about dressing up! Girls should always remember that they do not have to pretend to be someone else. Being a model is about showing who you really are. It’s important to have fun and always work hard on everything that you do.”
