Jeweled birthday

Siblings Tisha Cruz Bautista and Boey Cruz, with good friends Beth Lee and Sol Dizon, decided to hold their birthdays jointly with their individual circles of friends. Surprisingly, many of the invited guests knew each other well and it turned out to be an evening full of camaraderie and good cheer. The attire requested was “red chic” and proved to be a wonderful choice since this color is not only associated with good luck and happiness but it also made the dinner party a very festive one with the invitees wearing shades ranging from fuchsia, purple, and, lavender to orange and other hues. 

With the holidays fast approaching, the Las Piñas Boys Choir presented a repertoire of familiar Christmas carols that made everyone hum along to their favorite holiday song. But the best part of the evening was the energetic performance of Tisha Bautista’s four hefty and cute young sons, Xavier, Mateo, Alvaro and Jacobo. They brought the house down with their amusing dancing moves that delighted everyone present.

I love jewelry in all the various styles and combinations possible. But what truly catches my attention is well-made pieces that balance beautiful workmanship and a mix of various precious and semi-precious stones. The tandem of Kristine Dee and Paul Syjuco’s exhibit “Deux Yeux” at Firma proves that both jewelers are artisans of their crafts. One need go no further to purchase these luxury items as these talented individuals have shown us that locally-made pieces can definitely compare to those found abroad. Better yet, you get to patronize what is truly sariling atin.

The jewelry pieces on display are just one of a kind and from what I saw during opening night, they were in demand with many being reserved and sold immediately. One savvy lady decided to gift herself with Kristine’s colorful earrings as she proudly wore them out of the store as soon as her credit card was approved.
