Timeless Criselda
Lovely Criselda Lontok started modeling at a tender age of 16 for legendary designer Ben Farrales. From then on, fashion has been her passion. Her leap to creating a stylish line for women who want to look good at affordable prices started when Rustan’s founder Glecy Tantoco asked her to make some blouses to be sold in the store. The pieces were saleable and Criselda started adding various pieces until she had a whole line of ladies clothing to be presented as Criselda’s in 1983. The rest, as they say, is history since it was an instant success with the boutiques being consistent top sellers since she instinctively knew what women want to wear from daytime to nighttime.
The recent Criselda fashion show started with some of my favorite classic models who showed off the clothes gracefully: Tweetie de Leon, Marina Benipayo, Annette Coronel, Patty Betita and Issa Gonzales. After the show, I noticed that there was a beeline to her elegant boutique and I could hardly congratulate her as she was bombarded by her friends, customers and fans who wanted to buy as many of her outfits that were just on the catwalk.
“I am so happy that through the years, my clientele has remained loyal to my brand and for that I will strive harder to satisfy their needs and desires to look good at all times,” Criselda said.
