Marrying science with romance
MANILA, Philippines - After years of extensive scientific study, Pond’s introduces its latest in revolutionary skin care technology with Pond’s Age Miracle Concentrated Resurfacing Serum and Pond’s Flawless White Spots Blocking Serum. They were created to fight the signs of aging and to help the skin to regain its natural and youthful glow.
Transforming the venue into a simulation of the renowned Pond’s Institute in Shanghai, guests had a glimpse of how the serums are produced and their vital active ingredients.
Pond’s has perfected the art of marrying science with romance. Hence, the event unveiled the two new beauty potions, showcasing both the advanced scientific innovations behind Pond’s Age Miracle Concentrated Resurfacing Serum and Pond’s Flawless White Spots Blocking Serum as well as the love stories of three couples who have that one common denominator — Pond’s role in their modern fairy tales.
Model/beauty columnist/Pond’s brand ambassador Rissa Mananquil and TV sportscaster/Ateneo basketball team manager/Fiamma owner Paolo Trillo were cupids in a Pond’s event two years ago called “Fete d’ Amour.” They helped other people find their love being the cupids at the grandest match-making event by Pond’s. But their own love story started long before this. They first met in a party organized by Rissa held at Paolo’s bar. When asked what makes them fall in love over and over again, Rissa said, “He’s as sweet as the first day we met. He makes me feel like every day is like the first day of our relationship.” And Paolo replies, “I cherish everything about her. Each moment we have together is like the best time of my life every single time.”
A real-life love story written, produced, and directed by Pond’s, Santi Picornell and Michelle Pantoja met during the Pond’s grandest event for Manila’s most eligible, “Fete d’ Amour.” She is a vivacious chef and entrepreneur. He is one of Manila’s most eligible bachelors and respected businessmen. And not only are they polar opposites, some may have been surprised by the initial “oddity” of the match-up. But they were brought together by Pond’s. And their love story continues.
The “Fete D’ Amour” event was a brainchild of Pond’s global brand director Mutya Laxa, who commissioned Jinggoy Buensuceso to do an artwork. The rest is one of the most romantic love stories ever.
Mutya expounds, “My husband Jinggoy is particularly attentive and hasn’t forgotten what our pastor told us before we got married — that one must never cease to court his wife every day. He is generous with compliments. He always tells me, ‘You’re so beautiful!’ and never fails to whisper ‘I love you…’ in my ear every day that we wake up together. But more than the words, I also see the love in action especially now that I’m pregnant. He goes out of his way to cook for me and makes little sacrifices so that I’m always comfortable during my pregnancy. So how can you not fall in love over and over again?” This couple is full of beauty and romance just like Pond’s.
