Pond's sees red
MANILA, Philippines - Pond’s recently premiered its “Red Dress” collection at the runways of Philippine Fashion Week at the Mall of Asia Atrium.
Some of the country’s top designers created red couture — the main hue of Pond’s breakthrough anti-aging line, Pond’s Age Miracle. The designers’ beauty muses modeled each of the red Pond’s pieces. The theme of the show was “Beauty At Any Age.”
Hosted by brand ambassador and beauty expert Rissa Mananquil, the Pond’s show gathered women of varying ages to show that beauty, indeed, transcends age.
The “Exquisite Style” segment captured the essence of women in their prime, featuring designs by Randy Ortiz, Edgar San Diego, Junjun Cambe, Richard Papa, Sassa Jimenez, Simon Ariel Vaquez, and Eric Delos Santos. The clothes were modeled by Marina Benipayo, Badette Vinalen, Melba Arribas, Joyce Pilarski, Bingbing Pabular, Egin San Pedro, and Patty Betita.
Camille Mathay, Joanne Bitagcol, Rissa Mananquil, Mai Kaufman, Chriscel Agudo, Mafae Belasco, Joey Mead, Mae Faith and Abby Arenas starred in the “Effortless Charm” segment, featuring designs by Avel Bacudio, Jojie Lloren, Rhett Eala, Debbie Co, Aloida Cecilia, Melvin Lachica, Puey Quinones, Tina Daniac, and Edwin Uy.
For women on the verge, the “Fascinating Radiance” segment showcased strong character and flirtatious innocence, featuring designs by Charina Sarte, Ivarluski Aseron, Joey Samson, Louis Claparols, Ronaldo Arnaldo, Ziggy Savella, Michelle Lim, Jorge Palmos, Joel Escober, Bo Parcon, Chris Diaz, Alex Pigao, Marcy Rancy, and Lizanne Cua. Their muses were Divine Lee, Ria Bolivar, Kelly Misa, Samanth Lewis, Hazel Santos, Dana G, Justine Gabionza, Sabina Lopez, Kathy Moya, Michelle Panemanglor, Emerald, Christine Bayer, and Sarah Meier.
The “Captivating Innocence” segment featured designs by Jerome Lorico, Happy Andrada, Yako Reyes, Ciege Cagalawan, Arnold Galang, Nolie Vineza, Odelon Simpao, Roel Rosal, Veejay Floresca, Jerone Ang and Delby Bragais, worn by teenage muses Janina San Miguel, Brittany Sterling, Jana Tee, Melanie, Elizabeth Naluz, Jackie, Priscilla, Giselle Pacqueo, Chat, Vicky Herrera and CJ Malabayabas.
The show was presented by Pond’s together with Runway Productions for the benefit of Red Cross.
The show — put together by Runway’s Joey and Audie Espino, and directed by Raymond Villanueva — was attended by Unilever’s CEO and chairman Fernando Fernandez, managing director for hair and skincare Gilbert Simpao, marketing manager for skin Paul Katimbang, Pond’s senior brand manager Jacqe Yuengtian, and Pond’s assistant brand manager Simoun Ferrer; together with SM’s Harvey Sy and SM Mall of Asia’s assistant vice president Stephen Tan, SAVP ads and promo Jeff Dytuco of SM Hypermarket, SM Food Retail Group president Herbert Sy, and SM management trainees Herson Sy and Hendrik Sy. Also present were Teresa Herrera, Ito Curata, Tonichi Nocom, Ino Caluza, Macky Mathay, David Kaufman, and Isabel Oli.
