Heaven descends on Philippine Fashion Week
MANILA, Philippines – Divine creations with a twist of spunk, elegance and sensuality will dominate the runway in a one-night presentation of Heaven by Nestle Ice Cream at the Philippine Fashion Week spring/summer 2010 on Saturday, Oct. 24 at the SMX Convention Center.
Heaven by Nestle Ice Cream, one of the event sponsors, will showcase an enchanting collection that promises to enthrall stylistas.
Heaven is Nestle Ice Cream’s premium ice cream brand made creamier with five times more milk than regular ice cream. Each flavor is made from the choicest ingredients and natural food colors.
After the success of the Holiday 2009 presentation last May, the second installment of the Philippine Fashion Week this month features trends for spring/summer 2010. Heaven by Nestle Ice Cream gives a fresh spin to summer ensembles featuring designs by Arnold Galang, Dita Sandico-Ong, Enrico Carado, Raoul Ramirez and Lyle Ibanez for ESAC, Happy Andrada and Tina Daniac. The collection consists of creations inspired by the premium flavors of Nestle Ice Cream Heaven — Belgian Bliss (rich chocolate ice cream with Belgian chocolate bits), Strawberry Dream (strawberry ice cream with strawberry pieces), and Vanilla Secret (velvety vanilla ice cream loaded with chopped almonds with caramel sauce) — that speak of passion and gracefulness interspersed with style and imagination.
Pieces that illustrate sensuality and sultriness perfectly capture Belgian Bliss, while the Strawberry Dream collection features various shades of red and bold designs that bring out one’s playful and vibrant side. The Vanilla Secret collection, on the other hand, radiates elegance and timeless allure.
Held twice a year, the Philippine Fashion Week is the biggest and grandest gathering of the country’s best designers and fashion brands. Now in its 12th year, the event features over 100 designers in shows slated from Oct. 21 to 28 at the SMX Convention Center and at SM Mall of Asia.
