Black and white redux at SM
MANILA, Philippines - Black and white clothes have found their way back to young and fun fashion at SM.
Black, after all, has always been associated with the youthquakes of generations past — the Beat generation, the motorcycle-riding crowd, punk fashion and Madonna’s messy chic look in the 1980s, and the grunge look of the 1990s.
White, on the other hand, adds a touch of freshness and irony to the fashion equation, giving it the cool contradiction that makes it even more exciting.
SM’s new take on black and white for teens combines elegance with attitude, drama and nonchalance with slogan tees, motorcycle jackets, and army jackets on one hand, and pretty dresses and tops on another. It’s a look with many possibilities for self-expression.
