Eye on Iora

-

MANILA, Philippines - Singapore-based retail brand Iora dresses up the woman on top with classic apparel and accessories that never go out of style. The chic and sophisticated 2009 fall-winter collection from Iora was unveiled recently.

Iora Philippines owner and operations manager Monette Garcia and part owner and finance manager Anabelle Cuazon welcomed everyone over sumptuous lunch. Women were fascinated at the sight of the latest fall-winter collection, revealing Iora’s remarkable detailing, colors and designs.

With constant research over various countries in Europe and Asia, Iora’s design team in Singapore headed by head designer Jayne Koh generates more than 80 new styles into the stores every month to give customers a refreshing experience each time they visit Iora. Monette Garcia shares, “Filipino women demand value for money by buying high-quality brand with good styling. Our products have good detailing and lining as well as styling as seen on additional bows, pleats, and embroidery.”

The retail brand offers a wide selection of quality apparel at affordable prices for the fashion-conscious and young executives. Anabelle notes, “Our designs are in between trendy and classic which ensures long-term use.”

Accessories, belts, and bags are also carefully designed to complement the clothes and reinforce the fashion statement for the season.

Fresh off the runway, Iora presents loosely fitted silhouettes clad in comfortable fabrics such as cotton twill and printed chiffon silk presented in understated colors such as black, gray, nude, and subdued floral in soft pastels. With the art of power dressing comes the glorious comeback of the blazer set in monochrome and earth tones which make for feminine ensembles with a masculine edge. Floral chiffons and nettings harmonize with the ever long-lasting denim and leather jackets, showing off attires that fuse wearable clothing with a touch of style with metallic necklaces and boots.

The tiered circular ruffle mini outfits glow, asymmetrically draped in lightweight satin chiffons in both plains and prints showing a touch of femininity. Dresses are preferred this fall not only because they are feminine but also because they are pleasing and easy to wear. In a long series of characteristically glittery seasons where beads and studs are more popular than ever, Iora showcases decorative details sprinkled on knitwear and jackets in a spectrum of steely shades, fixated on getting the Gothic accent while attaining timeless glamour.

Special guests at the show included Iora executives from Singapore CEO Leng San Ng, head designer Jayne Koh, and marketing manager Toon Lin Teo. Iora Philippines part owner Christopher Cu-Unjieng was also present at the special event. Stylephiles who came clad in Iora were Camille Mathay, Mai Kaufman, Camille Villar, Stephanie Kienle, Mia Ayesa, Christine Jacob-Sandejas, and Karen Pamintuan.

Iora boutiques are located at Glorietta, TriNoma, Robinsons Galleria, Rustan’s Shangri-La, SM Mall of Asia, SM Megamall, Libis Outlet Store, Ayala Center Cebu, SM Cebu, and Marquee Mall in Pampanga.
