Gee, it's Pucci!

-

MANILA, Philippines - An escapade at the resort isle of Capri shaped and inspired Emilio Pucci.

A mix of updated and new prints is woven throughout the collection. Designer Matthew Williamson started with one of the house’s most celebrated iconic prints Vivara, and updated the swirling pattern into a fresh design with an angular, graphic form. Called Il Madera, the multi-hued design turns up in two scales, oversized on strong shouldered jackets paired with white separates, and in miniature on a jersey caftan dress with mesh inserts on its sides. Designed with the feel of a classic Pucci pattern, new print Riviera has kinetic lines and white spaces that appear to move around the body. Another new pattern, Tiger, features a bold jungle design that shows up printed on mesh voile jumpsuit.

Eveningwear shimmers: Beads, pailettes and square-cut sequins are sprinkled over baggy T-shirts and backless dresses. A sweeping georgette gown reveals a pretty filigree silver detail on its décolleté.

Accessories include slouchy, soft, oversized beige python bags with gold metal handles, mesh totes — their handles recalling a striped snake — and oversized printed terry toweling beach bags. Glazed fishskin clutches are in tones of lime, turquoise, black, and white.

Pucci is available at Rustan’s Makati and Rustan’s Tower.
