MANILA, Philippines - What do global style icons Gucci, Prada, and local brand Plains & Prints have in common?

Aside from their unique flair when it comes to women’s clothing, all three have commissioned the same Italian fabric designer to come up with exclusive prints for their own collections.

Plains & Prints features the Italian Jigsaw Print in its latest collection, which consists of six fabulous designs.

“It’s part of Plains & Prints’ direction of going global in terms of design,” explains Roxanne Farillas, owner of Plains & Prints.

Much like the “paintbrush strokes” which was launched late last year, the Italian Jigsaw Print spells modern sophistication.

“The colors are bold and beautiful. The play of hues makes for a striking print that brings to life our garments,” she enthuses.

The result is a gorgeous collection of tops, tunics, and dresses that can be worn by the modern Filipina — at work or at play.

Every piece is styled with intricate details highlighted by soft folds and flattering silhouettes on different materials.

Inspired by the recent New York Fashion Week, Plains & Prints’ summer collection consists of dresses, tops, skirts, shorts, and pants in neutral shades. It also boasts fab details such as extended pockets, asymmetric collars, and utilitarian cuts.

This May, Plains & Prints will also launch its candy-sweet collection in bubblegum, strawberry parfait, taro, and banana colors.

“At Plains & Prints, there’s really so much to look forward to. Women know what they want, and we give it to them,” said Roxanne.

Plains & Prints outlets are located in leading malls nationwide. For more information, log on to www.plainsandprints.com.
