Marie Claire magazine honors 10 amazing women this November

-

With gorgeous fashion and beauty spreads, local and global features of issues that resonate strongly with every Filipina, and insightful, thought-provoking articles, Marie Claire has always stood out as a fashion magazine with a social conscience.

This November, Marie Claire celebrates its third anniversary in the Philippines by honoring the achievements of 10 amazing women with its annual Women of the World awards. This year’s Marie Claire Women of the World are Isabela governor Grace Padaca, music and culture advocate Grace Nono, forensic pathologist Raquel Fortun, children’s book publisher Ani Almario, artist Isa Lorenzo, entrepreneur Anne Arcenas-Gonzalez, cultured activist Mara Pardo de Tavera, model-turned-jewelry designer Tweetie de Leon-Gonzalez, triathlete and sports program manager Ani de Leon, and actress Judy Ann Santos, who graces the cover of the November issue.

Also in its anniversary special, Marie Claire takes a stand to support the controversial Reproductive Health Bill. With the help of BBDO Guerrero, Marie Claire has created a campaign dubbed “Marie Claire Mouths” to convey the central message “Don’t let anyone else speak for you.” This campaign has recently received honors at the 2008 Tinta Awards.

Marie Claire also celebrates the kayumanggi this November, encouraging Filipinas everywhere to love the skin we’re in. Find out, too, why it’s important to relax as Marie Claire’s Pinay Stress Report shows you how stress can wreak havoc on your health.

The special third anniversary issue of Marie Claire is now available in newsstands and bookstores nationwide.
