Why Pond’s is the cream of the crop
Shelling out big bucks for premium-priced skincare isn’t always the wisest thing to do especially when there are some high-performance products on the beauty shelves that don’t cost a fortune. Beauty is big business and while we may want to exhaust our resources on looking amazing, you’ll find that drugstore brands are just as effective as highly covetable crème de la crèmes. Products developed by large companies seem to have cutting-edge technologies working at their finest since these corporations tend to pump significant amounts of time and money into their research. Little boutique-type skincare companies may have grand ideas but can face harder times translating them into real results due to the lack of funds for advancement. I’ve noticed that oftentimes we underestimate the effectiveness of more economical options in favor of prestige brands, but these drugstore products can turn out to be on par with and at times even surpass the expensive ones. That said, the drugstore brand that delivers optimum results without a strain on your wallet is good old Pond’s.
Pond’s has come a long way since its legendary cold cream. While the cold cream definitely remains its anchor product, it has introduced a whole slew of new products and has upped the ante on some existing ones. My latest favorite product is the Age Miracle cream, an updated version of the product Pond’s initially launched over a year ago. Composed of the best proven anti-aging technology, the Age Miracle cream contains an improved formulation of the conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) complex found in the initial version. The new CLA complex has been blended with alpha hydroxy acids (AHA), retinol, and retinol boosters which form the new CLA4 complex. Derived from safflower seed oil, CLA4 speeds up the skin’s renewal system while AHA removes dead skin cells on the surface of our skin. Retinol, a form of vitamin A, is the best proven technology to combat signs of aging as it stimulates collagen and elastin production. The amount of retinol in Age Miracle is at one percent, which makes it safe for everyone to use. Retinol boosters amplify the effects of retinol to make it more efficacious. These ingredients work together to reorganize the dermal component in an effort to increase turnover in our skin so there are new cells in our epidermis revealing rejuvenated skin. I’ve been using this product for weeks now and had noticed results just after seven days. Over the past few weeks, my skin has become softer and smoother, well hydrated, and my skin tone seemed more even. Though it contains an SPF of 15, I would suggest slathering on additional SPF with higher protection to shield against the sun’s harsh rays. The line does have an anti-aging tinted moisturizer that provides a natural finish and can be worn during the day as well. For night, there’s an overnight repair cream to work heavily while you sleep, but the highest concentration of the CLA4 complex can be found in the serum.
The Age Miracle cream can really be touted as a miracle in a jar since it improves, repairs, and renews skin’s texture; restores firmness; diminishes fine lines and wrinkles; and enhances radiance. Anti-aging is more than working on changes in the skin, it should be a whole outlook, changing lives as well. Looking young can incite the rekindling of romance and everyone could use a little resuscitation in their love lives. If looking younger can aid in that field, then why not? Fortunately, there’s an entire line of Age Miracle products to use jointly with the cream to maximize benefits and help you look your youngest.
The daily regenerating facial foam is enhanced with microbeads that help skin gently regenerate and there is even a simple two-step resurfacing microdermabrasion kit that mimics the results of professional microdermabrasion with a polishing cream and post-treatment nourishing glow enhancer. There’s a renewal mask for those who like a boost from time to time — the targeted wrinkle and spot treatment delivers a shot of collagen and vitamin B3 directly to problem areas. Another soon-to-be fave of mine is the dual eye therapy which is divided into two parts — a pink cream for the upper eye loaded with collagen for lines, wrinkles and crow’s feet and a white cream for the lower eye made of chamomile extract to brighten dark circles and reduce puffiness.
Other anti-aging products from Pond’s worth noting are the Age Defense creams which are less expensive than the already affordable Age Miracle line. That’s music to my ears. When there are so many other ways to spend money, why not save pennies when possible? The Age Miracle line is formulated with white tea extracts which act as antioxidants and vitamin B3 which energizes skin and rids the body of toxic chemicals. The overnight replenishing cream works on the skin in its reparative state to nourish it while preventing signs of aging and the illuminating day cream contains SPF 15 and helps brighten dull skin. These products are so reasonably priced and you can even slather them on your neck, décolleté, and hands to prevent signs of aging.

So unless you are oozing with cash and can afford to squander your hard-earned money for an “it” cream, I suggest you take the more prudent road with Pond’s which will still have you arrive with loveliness and gorgeous, lasting results.
