Ponchos, brooches & laces are back!

Time to dig into your baul. Everything old is new again.
The poncho is back with a vengeance, this time with a sexy, modern look that would make you forget grandmothers wore its knitted version and Mexican hombres like it colorful and striped. Fashionista friends who just returned from New York swear the poncho is the current look in the Big Apple.
Vintage-looking supersize brooches are super in, but we swear Mega editor Liza Ilarde had been wearing them when they were forgotten and forlorn accessories. New York Times Magazine says vintage opulence in terms of bracelets and necklaces as well is in, together with ladylike beribboned fur collars (perhaps for Baguio or Hong Kong this cold season).
Pantsuits for girls are also back, this time with white lacey Victorian blouses. Yes, lace is back, but not for a girlie look. More like an accent for the mannish pantsuit.
Time to remember that Nicholas and Alexandra royal look, but with a hip, modern makeover. Millet Mananquil
