QUANTUM SERVICED SUITES, a South East Asian management company focused on providing quality serviced apartment accommodation with a variety of management and marketing services, has expanded its customer services with the launch of a real time, web based reservations system for all Quantum properties.
Quantum, with management offices in Hong Kong and Manila, and with five managed or marketed properties in its current portfolio, "has launched the new system as of August 1st", said company President Mr. John Cole, "to significantly increase customer services and convenience, and to also increase revenues and occupancies of all properties in our portfolio".
Mr. Cole went on to explain that Quantum Serviced Suites currently manages or markets the BSA Tower, the BSA Suites, and Citadel Inn all located in the Central Business District of Makati, Metro Manila, and the Quantum Resort on Mactan Island, Cebu, also in the Philippines. Quantum also has a management agreement for the Palm Towers apartment building in Manila.
The newly launched reservations system uses leading edge technology to enable any traveler, worldwide, to book their leisure or business accommodation directly with the serviced apartment property. The website address is www.quantumsuites.com A confirmed booking can be printed out immediately by both the traveler and by Quantum management on site. The system also enables the secured use of all major credit cards to confirm bookings.
Quantum began operations in May of 2000 with the management of the Quantum Resort Cebu, and has increased its Philippine properties to five at present. "In addition to the reservations system, Quantum will also operate a data base marketing system, a telemarketing operation, and a direct mail marketing service to focus on revenue generation in future", said Mr. Cole.
He went on to discuss the on-going necessity of management companies to focus on sales, marketing and revenues, in addition to high quality services and property management. "The revenue side of hotel and serviced apartment operations has diminished significantly over the past years due to terrorist threats, economic slow down and SARS. What hotel owner’s and serviced apartment owner’s need now is increased revenue to cover operating expenses and increase returns on investment," explained Mr. Cole.
The company has begun major expansion plans to increase the number of serviced apartment properties in the Philippines and in the region. Mr. Cole explained, "A major development campaign has begun to sign properties in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Mainland China, and other South East Asian cities, in addition to further expansion in the Philippines. "
The Quantum corporate concept of serviced apartments combines the services of an international hotel with the space and comfort of a condominium apartment having separate living, dining and kitchen areas. Each serviced apartment project provides quality accommodation with studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments available. Other amenities include daily housekeeping services, business services, and room service. Rates include daily, weekly, monthly and long-term rentals. Quantum caters to both leisure travelers and the business traveler, and most properties are in the heart of the city center.
The target market for future development will be quality accommodation located in cities of the Asia Pacific region. Independent owned and operated serviced apartment buildings will be the major target market for Quantum. In addition to other services, the long-term corporate plan includes the cross selling of all properties, and a loyalty club membership with discount card for members.
