What has the power to make even the most snooty sophisticates knees buckle? Try a boutique filled with one-of-a-kind goodies that will leave even the greediest of shoppers satisfied till the next itch. Style nuggets may well be the adult candy fat-free yet sinful.
In the quiet section of the Shangri-La Plaza mall, there is a fashion wonderland filled with dizzying selections of unique accessories, artwork and home accessories. Cookie Consunji and Lia Delgado, both self-confessed shopaholics, have amassed an impressive variety of homegrown fashion goodies that are sure to impress even the most jaded fashion maven.
E-Style carries the Katha Award clad Talimaya bags, stunning pieces like the crystal blings from Ingrid Go, Moonstone, Josie V., Farrah Sy, Alexandra Yu, Ananas and Bohemiana, handpainted pendants by Anna Villalon and paintings of budding Filipino talents like Monica Laurel-Delgado. Cookie wanted to create a one-stop shop and fill it with unusual pieces instead of the usual mass-produced fare. With the long-time love affair of fashion aficionados with specialty boutiques such as MIX, Itsie-Bitsie and Wish, E-Style makes available proudly Philippine-made products for the same discerning clientele. Aside from that, however, they also carry footies from Jimmy Choo and Lambertson Truex.
Although Cookie is searching for more Pinoy-borne hits, the store was actually the child of Cookies shopping adventures abroad. Its a one-stop fashion shop that every shopper with a cause dreams of.
The turnover of products comes in an almost weekly basis and since most of the items are one-of-a-kind, its the perfect place for competitive fashion mavens with the clone-phobe syndrome. Lia and Cookie source their supplies, some of them well-known while some are secrets waiting to be spilled, by word of mouth.
The beauty of this E-Style is that aside from the fight but affordable fashion finds, the choices change every week. More reason to be a junkie!
