Jumping For Jeans

To ignore the creative spirit is a crime. But to consciously stifle it and not heed its call is worse. Every now and then the urge to create and devise something new is prevalent among people who have the vision and the drive to bring out something different. Or to dress up something old to make it new.
And usually when you speak of old, words like "tried and tested," "classic" and even "vintage" come to mind. Such is the case with the latest collection crafted by fashion model-turned-businesswoman Tina Maristela-Ocampo called "Vintage Collection" put together from clothes and jeans showcased in Fish, her store which caters to fashionable young people.
Fish has been around for sometime now and houses a good mix of blouses, pants and jeans for everyday use. Jeans have been around since the 1920s, passing the test of time of trends and fashion upheavals, and yet continuing to be the normal wear of people. For a country like ours that continues to make its own mark in the international fashion industry, our sense of simplicity in everyday wear has never left us, so much so that a pair of jeans and an ordinary T-shirt would normally get us through the day. And even at times, to dress that image up a bit is considered a deviation from the norm.
Fashion trends try to break free from the norm and establish a new set of wearing styles that would cater to the need for change and creativity. True, to go out on the streets decked in fur and lace while trying to make your own would be pushing the envelope in a rather drastic way. But to add a little flair to what youre wearing, paired with something as classic as a pair of blue or khaki or red jeans like those from Fish might just do the trick.
