Anonymous names new image models

Who’s next?

This question was on the minds of Anonymous shoppers and fashionistas for many weeks.

Anonymous Shop Inc., known for its anti-status and label-free goods for the brand-unconscious, celebrated its fourth year in the fashion retail industry with a search for new image models. Anonymous teams conducted a series of mall and bar tours, and gathered almost 4,000 aspirants for the preliminary screening. A total of 30 finalists were then narrowed down to 10 finalists who then underwent final screening by a board of judges.

The setting of the event was at the VIP rooms of Kitchen Greenbelt. The place was adorned with flowers and candles that made the two separate rooms look like lava lounges. Both judges and finalists mingled as cocktails were served.

The finalists were interviewed by a panel of judges whose names are well known not only in the fashion industry but also in the entertainment world. The panel was composed of Anonymous creative director Tina Maristela-Ocampo, Preview magazine’s Ana Kalaw and Jenina Alli, former Anonymous image model Rissa Samson, event organizer Keren Pascual, event organizer and Inquirer’s 2BU writer Tim Yap, MTV’s big boss Rod Nepomuceno, Philippine STAR columnists Celine Lopez and Mons Romulo-Tantoco, the woman behind Genesis Entertainment Angeli Pangilinan, Pipol host Ces Drilon, showbiz personality Bing Loyzaga, stylist Michael Salientes, fashion choreographer Ariel Lozada, Inquirer’s 2BU editor Pamela Pastor, Mayor Jejomar Binay’s daughter Anne Binay, Paul Smith’s big boss Juan Miguel Ongsiako and the man behind Artemis, Anton Mendoza.

The judges had a difficult but exciting time deliberating the finalists for all were witty interesting. But they finally chose the four new image models out of the 10 beautiful finalists.

Yciar Ledesma, Ayen Santos, Jan LaO’ and Justin Ventura are the lucky winners of the Anonymous Model Search 2002.

Each of the them will take home gift certificates from Anonymous, gift packages from Konica, a brand-new Nokia mobile phone loaded with Smart Zed sim pack, free overnight accommodation for two at Hotel Inter-Continental Manila, a chance to be on the cover issue of Preview magazine and a lock-out modelling contract for one year.

So, what’s next?

Their portraits will be taken by Neal Oshima. Their faces and images will appear in gigantic windows in all Anonymous outlets and all Anonymous advertising and merchandise.
