Frills, florals and lace punctuate her designs. In her latest collection, which is currently available at Linea Italia Group, Mariella Burani showcases billowy skirts in the softest of fabrics, sexy smoked tops, bloom-strewn shift dresses in varying hues of purple, orange, blue and green, among others.
Mariella Burani’s version of the ultra-feminine black dress is one with dainty flowers accentuated with a ruffled hem and neckline that add a hint of romance to the overall look. There are also dresses in fabrics that playfully hug the body, again splattered with flowers in varied hues, some with a fishtail hem.
Even Burani’s Amuletti collection of simple, clean cuts that are hip, young and with a lot of spunk, exudes a certain sexiness. A white dress, for example is accentuated only by a zipped front and two pockets while a shiny brown blouse and skirt ensemble has a thin belt for accent. Another standout is the mustard spaghetti strapped dress with a ruffled hem.
