MANILA, Philippines - A special APEC spouse program was hosted by Gretchen del Rosario, wife of Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert del Rosario, and Weng Domingo, wife of Trade & Industry Secretary Greg Domingo for the APEC ministers’ spouses.

APEC (Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation) is all about promoting cooperation among nations. Leaders can perform this task better when they have the full support of their partners in life. On the other hand, economic cooperation goes hand in hand with cultural exchange that is the special province of their spouses. Thus, as distinguished ministers from all over the Asia Pacific delve into the intricacies of their economic agenda, the spouses are introduced to the vivid array of sights, smells, taste and textures that make up the rich Philippine cultural milieu.
