40th Independence Day of Angola @ Makati Shangri-la

MANILA, Philippines – The 40th anniversary of the Independence Day celebration of the Republic of Angola was held at the Rizal Ballroom, Makati Shangri-La last Nov. 11. Angola is a country in Southern Africa with vast mineral and oil reserves. Its economy has grown at a double digit pace since the 1990s especially since the end of the civil war. The Republic of Angola, under the leadership of President José Eduardo dos Santos, is a member state of the Southern African Development Community, the Community of Portuguese Language Countries, African Union, United Nations, and other regional and international organizations.
