Celebrating Canada Day @ Fairmont Hotel

MANILA, Philippines - The Embassy of Canada, in partnership with the Canadian Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, organized the reception that capped the day-long 2nd Canada Trade Fair held at the Fairmont Hotel in Makati. More than 200 of Canada’s most important guests and friends from government, business, the diplomatic corps, civil society and the media recently gathered to celebrate Canada’s 147th birthday.

“This year marks the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Canada and the Philippines, with the ties binding our two countries stronger than ever,” Canada’s Ambassador to the Philippines Neil Reeder said. Canada is committed as an active partner of the Philippines in advancing strong political relations, trade, investment, development, and people-people relations including through immigration.
