MANILA, Philippines - Romulo Olazo’s B&W Redux was recently exhibited at the Paseo Gallery at SM Mega Mall just before his 80th birthday. Ola, as he is endearingly referred to by his friends, broke into the Philippine Art scene in 1969. Since then, he has been multi-awarded. It is said that the key to his growth as an artist was his involvement with the Saturday Group of artists, among whom were H.R. Ocampo, Ang Kiukok, Cesar Legaspi and Jose Joya. His wife, Pat Olazo, has been a constant support.
