Meralco-GE Smart Grid Cooperation Agreement

MANILA, Philippines - The top guns of Meralco and GE (General Electric) recently signed a cooperation agreement for Meralco’s Smart Grid roadmap that includes Prepaid Electricity. No less than Meralco chairman Manuel V. Pangilinan and CEO Oscar S. Reyes graced the affair with top executives for Asia of GE, Orga Systems and Ecologic Analytics. Orga Systems also presented Meralco with the global innovation award presented by Global Telecoms Business magazine in London for “Smart Grid Infrastructure Innovation.” Shown in photo are  (forefront, from left) Manuel V.
