Independence Day of Mexico @ Mandarin Oriental

MANILA, Philippines -  Last September 14, the Mandarin Ballroom of the Mandarin Oriental Manila was filled with an air of festivity and jazzed up with Mexican-themed motif during the commemoration of the 202nd Independence Day of Mexico.

The annual celebration was headed by Mexican Ambassador to the Philippines Tomás Javier Calvillo Unna. Ambassador Calvillo, accompanied by the Embassy’s deputy head, Christian Clay Mendoza and Consul Carina García Guerra, welcomed the guests who graced the event.

The highlight of the joyous event was the performance of the mariachi group “Achai”, which is composed of Mexican students who came all the way from the northwestern state of Sinaloa, Mexico.
