MANILA, Philippines - More than 200 guests from government, business, the diplomatic corps, civil society, and the media joined staff from the Canadian Embassy to celebrate the 145th birthday of Canada at the official residence of Canada’s Ambassador to the Philippines. Guests enjoyed live piano accompaniment throughout the evening, and were treated to Fil-Canadian performer Nyko Maca singing the national anthems of the Philippines and Canada. Capping the experience was the Canadian-themed menu catered by the EDSA Shangri-la created by its Canadian executive sous chef Damon Campbell.
