Filipino Artistic Talent Soars High at MADE 2011

MANILA, Philippines - Metrobank Art and Design Excellence (MADE) celebrated the artistic talents of Filipino artists and designers at the awarding ceremonies held at Le Pavillon. Staying true to its commitment of cultivating artistic excellence, MADE officially recognized the winners for 2011 in Painting, Sculpture, Interior Design, Architecture and Metrobank Prize for Achievement in Sculpture (MPAS) competition. One of the highlights of the event was the unveiling of the exhibit of MADE winners and the top-ranking semifinalists. MADE extends its support to the semifinalists, by helping them sell their works should they permit. All proceeds of the sale goes to the artist themselves as MADE hopes to be a venue that provides opportunities to young and promising artists even as semifinalists of the competition. The event was able to converge personalities from various social sectors including art patrons to members of the diplomatic community.
