Unilever and Paco Catholic School Partner in Caring for the Enviroment

-

MANILA, Philippines - Unilever Philippines recently donated 1,800 pieces of cement pavers to Paco Catholic School as the school’s incentive for turning over 160 kilos of used fl exible plastic wrappers, which its high school students collected from their homes and from their family and friends over a four-month pilot period. Instead of ending up in the waste stream, the trash collected is shredded and made as an aggregate material in the production of the cement pavers. This effort is a product of the partnership between Unilever and Paco Catholic School in its mutual social responsibility to care for the environment. The involvement of the students in this partnership instills the value of environment care and protection among the youth and their own families.
