The new Mercedes-Benz C-Class leads the way to the future of city driving

MANILA, Philippines - All of Manila’s roads led to the Peninsula Hotel recently as Mercedes-Benz unveiled the all-new C-Class to an audience of hundreds of the Metro’s top-tiered motorists, defining new standards in the luxury automobile category.

For the Philippine launch of the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class at the Manila Peninsula’s Rigodon Ballroom, Michael Hasper, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Germany, joined CATS Motors’ president Felix Ang, chairman Greg Yu, and VP for sales and marketing Robert Shaw in a ceremonial unveiling of the cutting-edge vehicle, as singer Nikki Gil serenaded the audience. DJ Ornussa Cadness provided music while Diageo was the official bar sponsor. 

Crafted off lightweight aluminium that allows for an empowering aerodynamic design, excellent handling, and efficient fuel consumption, the all-new C-Class’s exterior is built to match the speed, safety and sensibility requirements of these fast-paced and incredibly forward times.

With its sleek, precise lines, the new C-Class is designed with well-balanced proportions. From its spotless grillwork all stamped with the veritable seal of superiority that comes with the Mercedes-Benz star, to its fitting muscular bumper and sloping roofline punctuated by the energy-efficient LED Intelligent Light headlamps and taillights, the Mercedes-Benz all-new C-Class revolutionizes the view of future vehicle design.

The new C-Class comes equipped with the most state-of-the-art automobile technology available on the market. From the Attention Assist system which assists in driving safety to the Command Online navigation function, which notifies of nearby stopover options, the Active Parking Assist Program which enables automated parking with active steering and brake intervention, to an optional 360° camera that shows the vehicles surroundings in all viewpoints, the new C-Class masters motorist safety in facing newer road conditions and environmental challenges through technologically advanced safety and assistance systems.

Mercedes-Benz also lifted the curtains on the C 200 AMG line and offered a sneak peek of the other engine variants and design lines coming in the future. Three different design lines each offer the C-Class in a completely diverse view in aesthetic and performance. The Avant Garde line showcases the C-Class as a sporty Saloon, the Exclusive Line places the emphasis on an elevated status and modern luxury while the AMG Line lends the C-Class a decidedly sporty appearance. These other lines offer the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class experience with an empowering luxury of choice.
