GE Power and Water forges training agreement with Sealed Air

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - GE Power and Water recently forged an agreement with Sealed Air’s Hygiene Team with a capability and knowledge training on water treatment and management systems.

This milestone partnership brought together two global market leaders with complementary strengths and world-class technologies.  Sealed Air is a leading provider of sustainable cleaning, sanitation and hygiene solutions while GE Power and Water provides a wide range of advanced power generation and water optimization technologies for a cleaner and more productive world.    GE Philippines  is actively pursuing growth initiatives in ASEAN in all of the company’s diverse business interests using its wide portfolio of products, solutions and the latest innovations in this field.

Under the agreement, GE Water experts from the ASEAN region conducted an  intensive two-day training program for Sealed Air executives from the Brewery, Beverage, Processed Food, Dairy and Food Service Sector Teams.  This covered The Basics of Water and Water Treatment, Boiler Water Treatment, Cooling Water Treatment, Reverse Osmosis, Waste Water Treatment and Bio-Augmentation providing the participants the foundation for developing and experiencing water treatment for Sealed Air Hygiene Total Solutions package.

Regional heads from both GE Power and Water and Sealed Air were present during the event to give their respective messages to the participants.

Paul Budsworth, Sealed Air vice president for South East Asia, lauded the partnership and the subsequent training as a step towards offering a complete engineering and capabilities solution to Sealed Air customers’ cleaning and sanitization needs by incorporating a water treatment and management system aspect.

“As most may know, water is the main medium by which Sealed Air’s Cleaning Solutions are delivered to address customer’s cleaning needs,” he said.

“Both GE and Sealed Air intently focus on reducing our clients’ environmental footprint while delivering holistic, plant-wide solutions that significantly reduce energy and water usage.  By implementing efficient and effective solutions, customers can protect their assets, maximize production throughput and minimize costs,“ said Bradley Becker, APAC Regional Executive for GE Power & Water.

“This collaboration will benefit both GE and Sealed Air customers, not only in the Philippines, but in ASEAN as well.  We remain committed to working on similar  ventures in the future which we believe can help grow businesses,” added GE Philippines CEO Jocot De Dios, who, together with GE Market Development director for Philippines and Guam Charlie Clement lent their support to the said  training agreement.

The partnership message was further reinforced by the presence of Sealed Air partnership proponents Karen Golmer Global Energy and Water Resource director; Santanu Roy, AMAT Energy and Water Resource director; and Mike Lopez, SEA marketing manager for Sealed Air-GE Partnerhip; and colleagues from GE headed by Jack Yeo, APAC Commercial leader for partnerships and indirect sales; and Carlo Santos, Asia Pacific regional marketing.
