Businessmen & career women promote Pinoy fabrics
MANILA, Philippines - The Friends for Cultural Concerns of the Philippines (FCCP) held “Fashion with a Vision 2†last Feb. 5 at the Manila Polo Club, featuring the creations of well-known designers Lulu Tan Gan, Patrice Ramos Diaz and Tippi Ocampo. In staging the event, the FCCP aims to present the beauty of our local fabrics like piña, jusi, abel, etc., and the versatility of our talented Filipino designers in creating exotic designs using these local fabrics, which will eventually establish the Philippines as an emerging center of fashion.
Proceeds of the event will support the FCCP Scholarship program and other projects for arts and culture. FCCP president Nene Leonor headed the event with vice president and project director Rose Marie Lazaro, together with a core group composed of chairpersons Karen Macasaet and Tessie Rodrigo with co-chairs Chloe Periquet, Lulu Castañeda, Letty Hahn, Thelma Gana, Rosita Lesaca, Glecy Mojares and Grace Tiongco.
