Mobile app revolutionizes local loyalty and rewards cards industry

Rio Ilao, corporate relations manager of Perxclub, first came up with the idea after she noticed the upward trend of Filipinos getting smartphones.  “There are currently over 30 million users of smartphones in the Philippines, and companies have yet to harness the power of this mobile revolution that is sweeping the country,” she explained.  “Imagine a loyalty rewards program that is just a click away on your phone, and you can jump from one shop to another buying and at the same time earning digital stamps from our partner merchants.  No more multiple store registrations and no more bulky wallet.  It’s so cool and convenient.”

She says that people have too many “wallflower” cards that crowd their wallet but have not been fully taken advantage of.  “Sometimes it is a hassle to have too many separate loyalty cards in your wallet so you leave some of them at home.  Then you find out that the ones you’ve left behind are what you need at the moment, losing your chance of getting all those points and rewards,” Ilao said.

One of the Perxclub app’s main features is its digital stamping, which comfortably allows you to earn and harvest your rewards instantly.  “For example, if you buy something from one of our merchant-partners, all you need to do is press the Stamp button on the app, scan the merchant’s Perxcode (the establishment’s QR code, which can be found at the cashier), and instantly, digital stamps also known as Perxtamps will be credited to your Perxclub account,” she explained.

Also, you can avail of your rewards the moment you get the right number of stamps by simply presenting your mobile phone to the merchant partner. Download your reward on your smart phone, go to the Rewards tab, choose the reward and press the Claim button.  Enter your Personal Passcode to confirm the redemption and get your reward instantly.  At the same time, one can avail of freebies and discounts by checking out the “Specials of the Month” under the Cards tab or “playing for a prize” after you’ve earned a stamp.

Another important feature is the data backup facility. Once you have a Perxclub account, your digital stamps are virtually safe even if your phone gets lost.  “One of the app’s strongest controls is digital theft,” Ilao says.  “The phone thief cannot access your Perxclub account unless he knows your Personal Passcode. We have built safety features in the app such that it is nearly impossible for a thief to harvest your precious points or convert them to rewards without your permission.”

Perxclub can also help you find your nearest favorite establishment through the Cards Tab by category or by location with the “Near Me” function.  You can also check online how many Perxclub points you have already earned.  By logging in with your Facebook account, you can also share with your friends your Perxclub experiences and the latest perks that you find interesting or recently availed of.
