Citi marks 200th year with partners at 'The Phantom of the Opera'

MANILA, Philippines - Citi treated its clients and partners to the staging of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera, touted as the world’s most successful and longest-running West End and Broadway musical. Citibank is a co-presenter of the show in Manila.

Guests included government and private sector leaders such as Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor Amando Tetangco Jr., Monetary Board member Peter Favila, National Treasurer Bobby Tan, Development Bank of the Philippines chairman Jose Nunez, Jr., Government Service Insurance System president Robert Vergara, SM Prime president Hans Sy, Banco de Oro president Nestor Tan, Jollibee Foods COO Ato Tanmantiong, Manila Water president Gerry Ablaza, Meralco president and CEO Oscar Reyes, Nestle Philippines chairman and CEO John Miller, Avon Philippines president Kanwar Bhutani, Makati Shangri-La GM Reto Klauser and more.

 “This is another opportunity for us, to show our appreciation for our clients and partners’ loyal support as we mark Citi’s 200th anniversary and celebrate the bank’s legacy of success here in the Philippines and around the globe,” said Citi country officer Sanjiv Vohra.

Prior to the start of the season, Citibank cardholders and banking clients enjoyed exclusive offers such as a 10-percent discount on ticket prices as well as installment payment options via PayLite.

Citi, the country’s largest foreign bank, has launched various initiatives this year to celebrate 200 Years Citi, engaging various stakeholders including clients, employees and communities.
