Bosch celebrates Year of the Dragon with Binondo business community

-

MANILA, Philippines - For the fourth consecutive year, Robert Bosch Inc., the local arm of German technology giant Robert Bosch GmbH, celebrated Chinese New Year with the local business community in Binondo recently. One with the Chinese community in welcoming the Year of the Dragon, Bosch sponsored the celebration that drew throngs of revelers this year. The festivities included vibrant dragon dance performances, a float featuring Skil Power Tools and a parade that went through Ongpin and Plaza Sta. Cruz. Gracing the event was Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim.

“It is through efforts like these that Bosch is able to underscore its support for the thriving local industry in Binondo, which is known as the center for hardware suppliers and industrial power tools merchandise,” said William Go, country sales director for Bosch Philippines. “And we are happy to celebrate the Chinese New Year as Skil products are strong with the market here.”

The celebration marked Bosch’s continuing commitment to invest in the Philippines and help drive the growth of key industries. With the country’s economy gaining momentum, Bosch remains especially optimistic about the performance of local industries in the Year of the Dragon.

“The Philippine market has been growing consistently year after year,” Go said. “Bosch grew very significantly in the Asia Pacific in 2011, and it was in the Philippines where Bosch grew the most in terms of total percentage of sales. I believe that it will carry over to this year because we have a lot of new products slated for 2012.”
