TV sweethearts are the new faces of Digitel DSL

-

MANILA, Philippines - They are the hottest young sweethearts of Philippine television. Hailed by the entertainment press as “GMA Network’s Tween Royalties,” Barbie Forteza and Joshua Dionisio are at the point of their careers where going back to a normal life, away from the spotlight, would seem like a difficult adjustment.

Sixteen-year-old Joshua has been in the business since he was seven, and has done numerous shows like Super Inggo, Kung Fu Kids, Palos, and Panday, among others. Thirteen-year-old Barbie, on the other hand, has been in showbiz for only a year, but was doing television commercials years before that. Fans couldn’t get enough of them when they paired up for TV shows like First Time, Stairway to Heaven, Pilyang Kerubin and Reel Love Presents: Tween Hearts.

Their love team’s dynamism proves to be unstoppable, making them the perfect pair to represent the Digitel DSL bundle that marries the power of Internet access and the convenience of a landline phone in one package.

“I was a Digitel endorser in 2008; that’s why I’m already at home with the guys from the company,” relates Joshua. “Now that Barbie has stepped into the picture, I think this endorsement will be much more fun.”

“I think they are the best endorsers for the product, because their love team best represents our Digitel DSL Bundle: dynamic, synergic, and unbeatable,” explains Ricky Pena, VP for Sun Cellular and Digitel Marketing. “Besides, they are what our average consumers are all about — they are in need of fast, reliable Internet connection and of constant communication with people.”

“For the longest time, I have been a heavy Internet user,” says Joshua. “Although I know the importance of libraries, I have always relied on the Net for school research. And I’ve always been fond of online games.” This is why he has always relied on Digitel for its quick and seamless connection.

Barbie, on the other hand, grew more needful of the Internet when she became a TV star. Since she (along with Joshua) switched to home schooling, being connected online for research has become paramount. Moreover, the Internet allows them to stay in touch with their fans. “And it’s also great that the Digitel DSL bundle comes with a landline, because with that, I can be in the loop with my friends who I rarely talk to when we’re on a shoot.”

Digitel DSL was the first in the country to offer DSL and landline bundles that enabled people to have access to Internet connectivity and voice calls in one competitively priced package. Launched in 2006, this bundled solution combines the two most in-demand communication tools.

Digitel’s recent integration with Sun Cellular has also empowered both companies to provide the best, most efficient, seamless services to their subscribers.
